Ok guys.... I have found the coolest tool to help you lose weight, drink more water, and keep track of how many servings of fruits and veggies you've had!
It's called Habitwise and it's a way for you to track your diet and alter your eating plan .... with bracelets and coins!
The single-strand bracelets are color coded to help you keep track of food groups, calories, points or nutritional measurements throughout your day.
Here's some photos of what they look like!!!
Men can use the "coins" by starting the day with them in one pocket and transferring them to the other pocket throughout the day.
I don't know about you... but sometimes the day could go by, when I realize I've skipped out on eating fruits or veggies... this is a cool way to really keep track of what you are eating... (and not eating for that matter).
We've just recently discovered that my daughter's blood was very concentrated... her doctor said she needs to be drinking much more water throughout the day. Of course I remind her all the time... but since she's in school for a big chunk of the day, (and away from my reminders) these are a perfect way for her to remember to drink up!
Here she is... with the kids version!
The second photo is after she switched some over! She loves the "trendy" look of several bracelets! I do too! :-)
Here's my son Race wearing the blue "water" bracelets. I have to say.... they are really working for them!
When you purchase a habitwise product, it comes with plenty of information to help you get started... They describe portion sizes and and suggest you check with www.pyramid.gov to see what's best for your age and weight and then you can choose which bracelets to wear!
*** You can find out more about this cool new tool... at habitwise.com **** Sara, the CEO, told me they currently have a special for the holidays.... a special combo pack of of both color collections of the bracelets (60 bracelets) for $44. That way, you can challenge yourself with different habits.... and plus, they can match your clothing!! :-)
Again... visit Habitwise.com for more information!!! Here's to healthy habits! Cheers!
TinaMarie1225, 11 months ago | FlagHi Stefani, this habitwise idea sounds great! I usually drink a lot of water also but my ten year old son doesn't and I am always telling him to drink more. The mypryamid site is awesome. I just completed my Associates
degree and I had science nutrition class. This is where I was first introduced the pyramid site. Thank you for the info. Have a wonderful day!
webcat, 11 months ago | FlagThat's a good idea Steff! I'm trying to drink more water and eat more fruit and veggies...
fruit instead of junky sweets...t his might help me also. It would be fun hearing what people say when they see all the bracelets on my wrists! Your two children are really cute! Thanks for sharing this story with us!
AlInCleveland, 11 months ago | FlagI have a nephew who named his boy, Chase. And you know what? That's what his parents and other do all day..."Cha
se" after him to keep him out of trouble. He just turned 4. I brought this up because I noticed you have a son named, Race. He's older, but I imagine you had times where you and Roger had to "race" after him, if not now, in the past.
Peace, God bless, Al
